Painters Practice

Tuesday Evenings  6:30 - 9 pm
7 weeks  January 21 - March 4th
Oil and/or arylic painting session
 
The unglamourous title directly reflects the truth about what we are going to acomplish in these sessions. In order to make progress, a successful painter must have a practice and a plan!
 
We will follow a plan,  that relates to the 7 colours of the rainbow and 7 days of the week to help set a course of action that is relatable to the steps necessary to get rom start to finish.  By tackling it in small pieces, step by step, you will hit weekly obectives so you can finish a small piece before the course finishes.
 
There will be umbrella lectures at the start of each class and handouts (I'm oldschool) The best way to learn is to do it and you will run into the issues as you progress forward that are unique to your image, materials and skills so we will take them as we encounter them.
 
The goal of this class will be to lay a solid foundation and to follow a process each passing week in order that you may bring to completion a portion of an image of your choosing.  Bring in what you have oil or acrylic.
 
We dont care what you paint, but how, and we can lead the way and show you what you need to do with your own supplies and know how. You can work from master copy or photo or multiple reference, but it should be representational art. We recommend a small size as time is limited.
 
This session aims to give you a solid foundation and course of action so that when you are on your own there is no question of what to do next and how to move and progress forward when you hit that artistic wall.  "Coach bunny" will motivate and guide you along the way.
